It's the project of technology journalist and editor Ben Woods, founder of BBT Media, who is a regular contributor to titles like WIRED and Engadget and formerly held the position of European Editor at The Next Web. He currently also runs 10SECOND.TECH>>
"Too often, mainstream technology publishers can't go into enough detail around sex to really tell people what they should know about a device, or particular technology. Too many topics are taboo, and too many could potentially hurt the mainstream advertising revenues, " Woods said.
"As a side-project, that isn't something I need to worry about too much right now."
Currently a team of just three, STG wants to encourage anyone with a desire to write about sextech to get in touch.
"This can't be just be about men. Many of the sextech devices already available are geared towards men," Woods said. "Ideally, I'd have at least two or three more women on the team contributing content but this is something I'm going to try and have to grow naturally."
